Everyone has an idea of what they want to be; what they want to have; what they want to do in their lives. Yet few know how to make what they desire happen. This creates frustration at best, hopelessness and dependence at worst. The GO FOR IT! Institute provides a well-tested and highly effective way of teaching how to make life work. The GO FOR IT! Seven Keys to Success© offer clear and simple strategies for achievement in every area of life...particularly academic accomplishment, inter-personal communication, and economic opportunities and success.
The GO FOR IT! Program is a viable answer to these questions: How can we help our children? How can we improve education? How can we create a more level playing field for our diverse population? There are two common threads that weave through socio-economic communities: a frightening lack of personal confidence, which teachers believe is the single most important factor in academic success; and, disconnect between the importance of education and the student's opportunities in the future. The Seven Keys to Success© are tools children as young as first grade use to build confidence. The Keys teach children how to positively identify personal talents and abilities. It makes them giddy with excitement about the unbelievable power within them. That connects them to a motivation for learning: it ties their education to their dreams.
The Keys then teach students how to complete the CYCLE OF ACHIEVEMENT. I believe it is possible to provide this program to ten percent of the students in our community within the next three years through our Teacher Training Program. Sociologists tell us any society changes when ten percent of its population shifts their attitude or behavior. We can be stronger academically, interpersonally and economically here in Colorado, throughout the nation, and around the world. And...we need to be!
